NIFTEM has an opening for a teaching position on a Contract Basis for Indian Nationals in the department detailed below. Applicants with a strong academic record, teaching/research experience, and a focus on related research areas are encouraged to apply.

- Qualifications, Specialisation & Desirable Qualifications:
- Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university in specializations such as Life Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Molecular Nutrition, and related fields.
- Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, or similar tests accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET, or have a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC regulations.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in any of the above-mentioned subjects.
- Experience in relevant fields as evidenced by research work, publications, patents, etc.
- An excellent academic record throughout, with a minimum of 5 research papers published in refereed journals as per UGC guidelines, with a cumulative impact factor of at least 10.

- The Position is purely on a Contract basis initially for 06 months and extendable as per the Institute’s requirements.

- The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum, and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
- Shortlisting of candidates will largely follow the UGC pattern, and relevant experience will also be given due weightage.
- The eligibility of candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications/experience/publications, etc., acquired by them up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
