The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is inviting eligible candidates for Walk-in Interviews on 08th September 2025 for temporary and contractual positions under a funded research project. Openings are available for Project Associate-I and Project Assistant in the field of Chemistry, offering a unique opportunity to work on advanced RNA aptamer research using 19F NMR spectroscopy.

Project Associate-I
- Vacancies: 01
- Project Title: Probing the energy landscape of RNA aptamers using 19F NMR spectroscopy
- Funding Agency: SERB (Science & Engineering Research Board)
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Applied, or General) with at least 65% marks
- Preference: Candidates with 2 years’ research experience in national labs, universities, or industry
- Job Requirements: Synthesis of fluorinated nucleoside analogs, amidites, DNA/RNA oligos; preparing 19F-labeled RNA samples; performing advanced NMR experiments; data fitting
- Tenure: 6 months, extendable based on performance
- Salary: ₹30,000 + 30% HRA
- Age Limit: 50 years
Project Assistant
- Vacancies: 01
- Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Applied, or General) with at least 60% marks
- Preference: Candidates with experience in organic synthesis and synthetic organic chemistry
- Tenure: 6 months
- Salary: ₹25,000 per month
- Age Limit: 35 years
