Job Description:
The Project Associate-I will support research and development under the DST Centre of Excellence on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) project at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur. This temporary position involves process design, software-based modeling, flue gas monitoring, data collation, and report writing, providing hands-on experience in carbon capture and environmental research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design reactors and optimize absorption processes using process design software (CHEMCAD, ASPEN, DWSIM).
- Conduct flue gas monitoring and process-related experiments.
- Collate data and prepare detailed technical reports.
- Support project-related tasks as assigned by the project leader.
- Comply with CSIR safety, quality, and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Essential: B.Tech/B.E. in Chemistry, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering/Technology.
- Knowledge of absorption processes and reactor design.
- Expertise in process design software such as CHEMCAD, ASPEN, or DWSIM.
- Experience in carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration research.
- Substantial data collation and report-writing skills.
- Age Limit: 35 years (for candidates meeting specific NET/GATE/DBT/DST criteria).
Salary:
- Rs. 31,000 + HRA for candidates qualifying NET/GATE/DBT/DST or equivalent.
- Rs. 25,000 + HRA for other eligible candidates.
