Job Description
This is a temporary, contractual position for a Project Associate – I to work on the project, “PLA and PBAT-based Biodegradable Polymeric Films with enhanced mechanical and barrier properties.” The role involves carrying out assigned R&D work
and contributing to the project’s goals. The initial engagement is until March 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and development work as directed by the project leader.
- Contribute to the project’s objective of developing biodegradable polymeric films with enhanced properties.
- Adhere to project timelines and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- Essential Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (Material Science, Polymer Science, or equivalent).
- M.Sc. in Food Science & Technology.
- B.Tech in Food Science & Technology.
- B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
- Age Limit: The candidate should not exceed 35 years of age as of September 4, 2025.
- Desirable Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a Diploma from CIPET or an equivalent qualification.
- Hands-on expertise in the film extrusion process.
- Working experience with a Polymer Film Extrusion and Twin extruder.
- A Master’s Degree in Material Science/Polymer Science/Plastic Technology or an equivalent field is preferred.
Remuneration
- Stipend: ₹31,000/- plus HRA for scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, etc.).
- Stipend: ₹25,000/- plus HRA for others.
