About the Role
The Laboratory Chemist will play a vital role in conducting chemical analysis and testing on materials used in aerospace surface treatments. The position includes developing and optimizing chemical processes, monitoring treatment quality, and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting chemical tests and analyses on aerospace materials
- Developing and optimizing processes for improved performance
- Monitoring critical process parameters (temperature, pH, chemical concentration, current density, etc.)
- Troubleshooting surface treatment processes and equipment issues
- Inspecting incoming chemicals and plating salts for compliance
- Performing coating analysis for thickness, adhesion, and corrosion resistance
- Managing non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective action
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring environmental compliance
About the Team

Your Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory analyses on coatings, chemicals, and substrates
- Document results and maintain accurate laboratory records

Qualifications & Skills
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of chemical properties, processes, and lab safety standards
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and lab instrumentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills for presenting results and working across departments
