Core Purpose of the Role
Personnel handling this profile will be responsible for performing reactions as per the requirement of the project. They are also responsible for documenting the observations in relevant notebooks. They are to follow instructions from the supervisor and work in a group (or individually) to accomplish the tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Role Accountabilities:

Perform synthetic chemistry reactions and compound purification

Conduct workups, crystallization, preparative TLC, and use of lab equipment

Submit samples for analysis and communicate progress

Document experimental data in lab notebooks or e-notebooks
-
Maintain calibrated and clean equipment

Understand MSDS for all chemicals and follow emergency response protocols

Ensure proper waste segregation per EHS norms

Attend all mandatory training and maintain training records

Uphold strict confidentiality at all times

Specific requirements for this role

Experience: 3–12 years

Education: M.Sc, M.Pharm, Ph.D, or Ph.D + Postdoc in Medicinal Chemistry

Skills:

Knowledge of chemical synthesis techniques

Proficiency with lab instruments and apparatus
