IISER Mohali Junior Lab The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, an Institute of National Importance, was established by the Government of India (MOE, erstwhile MHRD) in 2007 to carry out research in frontier areas of Science and provide quality Science Education & Research at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The Institute invites Online applications to fill up the following non-teaching/technical positions purely on a contract basis at a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration
Job Title: Junior Lab Assistant
Eligibility: B.Sc. (Chemistry) with 50% of marks from a recognized University/institute.
Experience:
3-year relevant experience in handling Laborato equipment and experiments.
Age: 30 years
Salary: Rs.27000/-
General Terms & Conditions:
- The engagements are purely on a contract basis at a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration, initially for a period of six months or till the appointments are made on a regular basis whichever is earlier, which may be extended or curtailed depending on the requirement of the Institute, as the case may be.
- All these positions are purely on a contract basis, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments at IISER Mohali.
- Candidates should read carefully the requisite minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. laid down in the advertisement before applying for these posts. Since all the applications will be screened on the basis of data submitted by the candidate in the online application form, the candidates must satisfy themselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying, If at any stage during the recruitment and selection process, it is found that candidates have furnished false or wrong information, their candidature will be rejected.
- Application once submitted cannot be altered/resubmitted, under any circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data/particular entered by the candidate in the Online Application will be entertained, once the application is submitted successfully. Therefore, please keep all data/details ready before you start filling up the Application Online.
- The candidates are required to apply ONLINE and upload all the relevant documents relating to his/her educational qualifications, experience, etc. till 08.11.2021 upto 4.00 p.m. The application received after the expiry of last date i.e. 08.11.2021 upto 4.00 p.m. will not be entertained and Institute will not be responsible for any delay. - The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Good knowledge of computer applications (on word processor, spreadsheet, presentations, software etc., and OS like MS-Windows, LINUX etc.) will be a distinct plus for candidates applying for the positions from Sr. No. I to 6.
Relaxation/concessions of age:
- The maximum age limit for each post shall be the same as mentioned above against each post. The age shall be determined as on the last date of the submission of the application form, mentioned in the advertisement.
- Age is relaxable for 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates, iii) Age relaxation to the departmental candidates will be in accordance with the instructions or orders of the GOL iv) Candidates belonging to other eligible categories shall have relaxation as per Gol norms.
- The institute follows the reservation nornns as per Gol rules for SC/ST/OBC/PWDs/EWS. Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ST/OBC/PwDs/EWS must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed by Gol in support of their claim at the time of application. PwDs will be entitled to all exemptions, relaxations, benefits as per Govt. of India guidelines.
- Age Relaxation for Internal Candidates: To provide broader opportunities to internal staff who are familiar with the IISER system (with a minimum of three years of service in IISERs under contractual/ outsourcing mode), age relaxation will be up to 50 years for internal candidates across all IISERs as on closing date of advertisement i.e. Regular/Contractual/ Outsourced (including project appointment). However, there will be no relaxation in essential and desirable qualifications.
Separate applications should be submitted online for each post applied.
- The number of vacancies indicated in the notification is tentative, IISER Mohali reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts at the time of selection. Further, IISER Mohali also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the posts advertised.
- Candidates shall have to produce original documents along with one set of photocopies of educational qualifications, experience, and application form submitted online, etc. at the time of written test/trade test/interview. In the absence of the same, the candidature will not be considered for written test/ trade test/ presentation/ interview and no TA will be paid
- No correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from candidates regarding eligibility/conduct/result of written test/interview etc. and reasons for not being called for written test/ interview etc.
- The Institute shall conduct a written test/trade test for all the posts.
- The prescribed essential qualification/experience indicated is the bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidate to be called for a written/trade test. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for IISER Mohali to conduct written/trade test of all the candidates. IISER Mohali may restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test/trade/skill test to be a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualification and experience higher than that of the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. The candidates should, therefore, furnish details of all the qualifications and experience possessed in the relevant field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed along with documentary evidence.
- The qualification prescribed should hav_e been obtained from recognized Universities/institutions.
- Applications received through email/offline mode/incomplete/ not on prescribed format/ will not be entertained/accepted.
- Canvassing in any form/bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post. “INTERIM ENQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED”. If it is found at any stage that any information given in the application is incorrect/false, the candidature/appointment is liable to be canceled/terminated on that ground.
- Experience/essential qualification and age will be reckoned on the last date for submission of the online application form.
- Candidate should keep their email id and mobile no. provided in the application form active. Institute will not be responsible for nonreceipt/ delay in receipt of any communication due to deactivation of email id and or mobile number is given or due to change in address etc.
- Candidates should check to visit the institute website regularly for any update on the recruitment process. Institute will not be responsible for delays in information in this regard.
- If there is any corrigendum/addendum, it shall only be published on Institute’s website only.
- The candidate should scan his/her passport size photograph and upload these at appropriate places in the online application form before submitting the same. Further, the candidate is also required to upload the relevant documents relating to his qualifications, experience, etc.
- Candidates should submit the online application fee of Rs.300/- by UR/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs.150/- by SC/ST/PwD and women candidates. Fee by any other mode of payment will not be accepted. Fee once paid shall not
be refunded under any circumstances.
The last date of submission of online application forms is 8th November 2021 upto 4.00 p.m.
