Responsibilities
- To follow and implement the APML Health & Safety Management system in totality.
- Organizing Health & Safety Induction training for new Staff and Workers of the APML, as well as agencies.
- Preparation of various Monthly MIS reports for HO submission.
- Conducting weekly mass toolbox talks for the agency’s workers and suggesting safe work methodology.
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control Measures for Critical and Non-Critical Activities.
- Investigation of near misses, dangerous occurrences, and accidents, and suggesting corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Conducting Health & Safety motivational activities and awareness for the agency’s workers.
- Conducting weekly Health & Safety audits at the plant area and reviewing its compliance in the review meeting.
- Daily monitoring of unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and unsafe practices at the plant and their compliance.
- Ensuring the usage of PPEs by the APML employees, as well as the agency staff and workers of the agencies at the plant.
- SAP-related work, i.e., material requisition, material issue, and service entry sheet, logging of observations, (UA/AC), near-miss incidents, and accidents.
- Implementation of the Permit to Work System at the plant & adhering to the requirements of the permit.
- Conducting a monthly detector survey of the Hydrogen and Chlorination Plant.
- Preparation of the agenda and presentation for conducting the Plant Health & Safety Committee meeting on a monthly basis.
- Coordination with Health & Safety stars and ambassadors of different departments.
- Participation in internal & external IMS audits.
- Facilitating Third Party Inspection of plant tools & tackle.
- Organizing Departmental Health & Safety Committee Meeting of the department allocated.
- Executing all motivational programmes, as per Corporate guidelines, like Health & Safety Mela, Health & Safety Virus, Health & Safety award reward scheme Etc
Qualifications
Desired Qualification:
- P.G degree (Physics or Chemistry)
- M.E / M.Tech (Fire & Safety)
- Advance Diploma in Industrial Health & Safety
- NEBHOSH, IOSH certifications
