Position Details

- Number of Posts: Two (02)
- Research Area: Molecular design, Supramolecular polymer, Nanotechnology, and Advanced nano(bio)material, Synthetic Organic chemistry, Chemical biology
- Principal Investigator: Prof. Santanu Bhattacharya / Dr. Ekambaram Balaraman
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University / Institute
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Organic Synthesis / Material Sciences / Chemical Biology / Supramolecular Chemistry / Nanotechnology
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of a Ph.D. degree may also apply
- Candidates should provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. program
Fellowship
- Rs. 61,000/- p.m. + 9% HRA applicable if the candidate has one year or more of post-PhD research experience
- Rs. 58,000/- p.m. + 9% HRA if the candidate produces a Ph.D. Certificate
- Rs. 42,000/- p.m. + 9% HRA for candidates whose Ph.D. degree is awaited, subject to submission of proof and pending viva/defense letter
- A nominal research grant will be available under this program
Tenure
The position is temporary for one year, with an extension for one year after the performance review.
Age Limit
Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the Government of India norms.
