Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing chemistry projects by carrying out organic synthesis of fluorescent dyes suitable for flow cytometry.
- Work as part of a team to develop novel fluorescent molecules, their synthesis, purification, and characterization for biological applications.
- Establish internal relationships and interact with reagent development groups to understand current and future organizational needs.
- Work independently, publish results, and generate intellectual property filings for an innovative and robust fluorescent dyes pipeline.
Essential Requirements:
- Ph.D. or MS in Organic Chemistry or related field with 2+ years post-Ph.D. experience and 7+ years of post-MS experience.
- Motivated self-starter with a proven record of successful results, including publications and intellectual property generation.
- Research, synthesize, and evaluate photophysical properties of dyes for cellular analysis applications.
- Maintain thorough records of experiments and stay up to date on scientific and industry advancements.
Preferred Experience: Experience in multicolor flow cytometry and dye-antibody conjugations.
