Project Details:
- Title of the Research Project: Development of nanostructured MoS2-based SERS and FET biosensors for ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers for Cerebral Ischemia
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Rehan Khan (Scientist-D) and Dr. Kiran Shankar Hazra (Scientist-E)
Position Details:

Qualifications and Experience:
Essential Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech/Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Biosciences, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Nanoscience, and Nanotechnology.
(A) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC-NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
(B) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies, and Institutions.
Desirable Experience: 1 year of experience in nanoscience and nanotechnology will be preferred.
Age Limit: Must not be over 50 years as on 12.01.2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
Fellowship:
Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (as applicable) p.m. OR Rs. 25,000/- p.m + HRA (as applicable) for those who do not have A and/or B of the essential qualification.
Project Duration:
Initially for 6 months, and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely temporary and on a contractual basis. The position is co-terminus with the project. A candidate selected for this position may also apply to the regular PhD program at INST, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets, and other testimonials must be presented along with self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of the interview.
