Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualifications
Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Natural Sciences/Chemical Sciences (Chemistry)/Nanoscience from a recognized University OR any equivalent qualifications duly recognized by the concerned authority as per the functional requirement.
Desirable Qualification/Experience
M.Sc. in Organic or Inorganic Chemistry from a recognized University. Candidates with hands-on experience in
catalysis, catalyst synthesis, nanoparticle synthesis, carbon capture, gas absorption studies, and proficiency in thermal analysis, SEM, TEM, SCXRD, PXRD, NMR, FTIR, and related characterization techniques are preferred. Prior experience in scientific writing will be an advantage. Age not exceeding 35 years as of the date of the interview.Age Limit: 35 years
Job Requirement
The candidate is expected to synthesize nanoparticles and perform their characterization. The work will involve optimizing conditions for CO2 capture, studying phase behavior, and assessing the efficiency and selectivity of CO2 uptake. The project also includes detailed structural and physicochemical characterization of the resulting crystalline materials using single-crystal and powder XRD, thermal analysis, and complementary spectroscopic or microscopic techniques. The candidate will be responsible for interpreting the data, establishing structure–property relationships, and contributing to the development of a scalable CO2 capture process.
Consolidated Emoluments Per Month
(i) ₹31,000/- + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET incl. lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by central Government Departments like DBT/ DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions. (ii) ₹25,000 + HRA for others who do not qualify under (i).
