Junior Scientist (Biochemistry)

Remuneration:
Rs. 40,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Educational Qualification:
- Essential: M.Sc. (Chemistry/Biochemistry) from a recognised University/Institute with knowledge in computers.
- Desirable: PhD with a minimum of two years of research experience in a research institute, food testing laboratory, or academic research setting. Proficiency in a wide variety of laboratory techniques and instrumentation. Candidates having research experience in tea biochemistry will be given preference.
Indicative Job Description:
- Interview date– 22.12.2025
- Interview time- From 11.30 a.m. onwards
Interested candidates are requested to appear (in person) in the walk-in-interview along with application form (strictly as per the enclosed format), CV, self-attested copies of testimonials. Registration for appearing in interview will be allowed up to 11.00 a.m. only. The candidates are also advised to bring original testimonials for verification. There may be one short test if required.
Instructions to candidates:
- The engagement will be initially for one year purely on contract basis reckoned from
the date of joining and extendable after one-year subject to satisfactory performance
and requirement after the end of one year. - Any canvassing directly or indirectly by the applicant will disqualify his/ her
candidature. - The selected candidate will be required to join and work at DTRDC, Kurseong
immediately. - Tea Board reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/enlarge/cancel the selection
process, without assigning any reason. The decision of the Board will be final and no
appeal will be entertained in this matter.
