Job Description:

Applications are invited from Indian nationals to work as Project-JRF or PA-1 in a multi-institutional research project funded by the DBT, Government of India.

Project Title: Development of Environmentally

Friendly Controlled-release P-fertilizer and its Evaluation with Plant Growth Promoting Microbes on Soybean Productivity and Soil Microbial Health.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of controlled-release P-fertilizer in a research lab.
  • Experience in materials science, hydrogel synthesis, and characterization techniques like SEM, mechanical testing, UV-Vis, rheological, fertilizer-release studies, and soil property testing.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience in experiment design, equipment handling, and proficient English writing skills.

Number of Positions: 1 (One)

Duration: Initially for 6 months, extendable upon satisfactory performance until project completion.

Salary:

INR 37,000 + HRA (as applicable) per month for candidates with CSIR/UGC NET or GATE qualification (JRF) or INR 25,000 + HRA (as applicable) per month for candidates without CSIR/UGC NET or GATE qualification.

Essential Qualifications:

  • B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or Chemical Technology, or B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a recognized university or institute with minimum 60% Marks or CGPA of 7.5 and above on a scale of 10.
  • Preference for those who have qualified in national level examinations like GATE, CSIR-JRF, NET(JRF), UGC-JRF, Rajiv Gandhi Fellowship, or equivalent fellowships in relevant areas.

Age Limit: Candidates should be below 28 years old.
