Job Title: Analyst – Reverse-Phase Chromatography (RP-HPLC)

Role Summary
The Analyst will be responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates, stability samples, and finished products using Reverse-Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) and related analytical techniques. The role ensures strict compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, and internal quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analytical Testing
Perform routine and non-routine analysis using RP-HPLC.
Conduct method development, method validation, and method transfer activities.
Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, stability batches, and finished dosage forms.
Prepare mobile phases, diluents, reference standards, and samples according to SOPs.
2. Instrument Operation & Maintenance
Operate and troubleshoot HPLC systems (Agilent/Waters/Shimadzu).
Perform routine calibration, system suitability, and preventive maintenance.
Maintain accurate instrument logs, performance records, and deviation documentation.
3. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain GMP-compliant documentation in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
Prepare and review analytical reports, chromatograms, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
Follow ALCOA+ data integrity principles.
Ensure compliance with ICH, USP, EP, and WHO guidelines.
4. Quality & Safety
Participate in OOS, OOT, deviation, and CAPA investigations.
Follow SOPs for chemical handling, waste disposal, and equipment usage.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment.
5. Cross-Functional Support
Coordinate with QA, R&D, Production, and Stability teams.
Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lab efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of Reverse-Phase Chromatography and HPLC principles.
- Hands-on experience with RP-HPLC (column selection, gradient methods, UV/PDA detectors).
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to interpret chromatograms, troubleshoot systems, and optimize methods.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
