Job Summary

The Production Officer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily production operations within our manufacturing facility to ensure efficient, high-quality output that meets production targets and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel on the shop floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMP) within the production area.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and material usage, and generate reports for management.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance, supply chain, and engineering teams to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Manage raw material and finished goods inventory within the production area, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new production methods and technologies.

Requirements

  • Proven understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
