Job Purpose: We are looking for an organic chemist (Master’s) to address synthetic challenges and support scale-up activities in the process research and development (R&D) group. Apply at Syngene Careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently in the lab to develop safe and robust chemical processes for intermediates and API preparation.
- Perform literature searches and bench-scale reactions to support R&D activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols during lab and scale-up work.
- Effectively communicate with team members and project leads.
- Document all lab activities promptly in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN).
Educational Qualification:

Master’s in Organic Chemistry from a reputed institute/university.
Technical/Functional Skills:
Essential:
- Strong understanding of organic chemistry fundamentals.
- Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams (Process R&D, Pilot Plant, Process Safety).
Preferable: - Experience in Pharmaceutical Process R&D.
- Basic knowledge of analytical data from NMR, HPLC, and GC.
Experience Required: 1–5 years
Behavioral Skills:
- Team player, collaboration, commitment.
- Strong reading, presentation, and communication skills.
