Chemical Engineering Job Pune- Job Description
BP TSI is hiring a Corrosion Engineer as part of its chemical engineering team. The role focuses on corrosion and erosion modelling, supporting both operations and projects, and enhancing bp’s modelling capabilities to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable energy solutions.
Chemical Engineering Job Pune- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide corrosion and erosion modelling support for operations and projects.
- Collaborate with advisors and SMEs to interpret and apply modelling outputs.
- Build a centre of excellence for corrosion and erosion modelling.
- Identify improvements to modelling tools to increase operational value.
- Integrate modelling with real-time data to improve risk management.
- Provide corrosion and materials engineering expertise across teams.
- Support corrosion threat assessments, mitigation programs, and incident investigations.
- Work with digital or I&E teams on technology programs and use cases.
- Develop central tools, processes, and guidance documents as required.
- Demonstrate visible safety leadership and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Postgraduate certification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; PhD preferred.
- Proven experience in chemistry and corrosion modelling.
- Expertise in chemical modelling, electrochemistry, surface chemistry, and erosion.
- Knowledge of industry standards for corrosion and integrity management.
- Strong teamwork, networking, and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Familiarity with process design, safety, and O&G operating conditions.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
Preferred Experience:

Experience in integrity management for oil and gas projects.
