Project Details
- Project Title: Next-generation porous conducting polymers/frameworks for efficient reverse electrochemical desalination
- Funding Agency: Khalifa University Subaward to IISER-Kolkata
- Principal Investigator: Prof. Rahul Banerjee, Dept. of Chemical Sciences
- Tenure: 6 months
- Remuneration: ₹58,000/- per month + HRA (as per DST norms)
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: Ph.D. in General Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Inorganic Chemistry / Physical Chemistry / Material Science
- Experience: Synthesis and characterization of MOFs and COFs
- Skills: Proficiency in Powder & Single-Crystal X-ray Diffraction, data collection, and structural analysis
- Age Limit: ≤32 years as of 31st August 2025 (relaxation for reserved categories)
Job Role
- Work on synthesis and characterization of metal- and covalent-organic frameworks (MOFs & COFs)
- Conduct structural analysis using advanced X-ray diffraction techniques
- Assist in the development of frameworks for efficient reverse electrochemical desalination
- Contribute to scientific research as part of a Research Associate position in chemistry
