Asian Paints, Ahmedabad, is seeking a skilled Research Executive – QC Chemist specialized in quality control with an understanding of concrete. The role focuses on ensuring quality checks for raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG), conducting process checks, and performing quality audits at manufacturing plants for admixtures. Travel to manufacturing locations across India may be required.
The QC Chemist will conduct concrete trials, maintain detailed records, and communicate independently with the supply chain, marketing, and Out Process Centers (OPCs) across India. Responsibilities include sharing Manufacturer Test Certificates (MTCs) and coordinating RM testing, stock updates, and resolving technical issues.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Testing RM and FG for construction products like concrete admixtures, dry mix mortars, and cement-related products as per protocol.
- Expertise in concrete testing, including both fresh and hardened concrete, as well as mix design.
- Timely dispatch of FG with MTC.
- Ensuring laboratory and product compliance with ISO, ASTM, EN, and other standards.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing and processing issues.
- Resolving customer complaints related to concrete mix designs using corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintaining ISO 9001 documentation, equipment calibration, and predictive maintenance.
- Implementing QMS through self-audits, cross-audits, and actionable point follow-ups.
- Conducting quality audits at OPCs and publishing reports.
- Coordinating independently with the supply chain, marketing, sales, and technical teams.
- Following safety management systems, conducting training, audits, and implementing findings.
- Supporting environmental protection by minimizing hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
