Job Description
As a Production Executive at Unilever, you will ensure that standard procedures are enforced uniformly across the factory while making critical decisions on production effectiveness and quality. You will manage process parameters according to operations and SKU, ensure raw material availability, monitor finished and semi-finished goods, and oversee utility processes for smooth plant operation. In this Production Executive Role, you will supervise operational priorities, maintain quality standards, and direct engineering tasks according to daily production plans. You will coach employees, optimize shift schedules, and manage safety, quality, and personnel issues without impacting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Core KPIs include Safety, Health & Environment (SHE), production efficiency (OEE, OPE), quality, digital initiatives, cost management, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce safety and environmental procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Minimize waste and environmental impact through effective resource management.
- Maintain high product quality in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate, maintain, improve, and repair (OMIR) equipment; understand hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and instrumentation.
- Support digital initiatives such as SPC, Auto-manning, and Build App integration.
- Lead continuous improvement, problem-solving, and efficient resource utilization.
- Develop, motivate, and coach the production team.
Essential Skills
- Core engineering skills in Production, Quality, or Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical).
- 1–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) manufacturing.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with AUTOCAD, Python/C/C++, DBMS, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Tableau.
