Qualifications: Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry with 1–3 years of post-doctoral or industry experience in API Process R&D/CDMO/CRO.

Experience & Skills:

  • Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry and analytical interpretation.
  • Expertise in process development, optimization, and scaling.
  • Familiarity with GMP/GLP environments and QMS documentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of flow chemistry and experience handling sensitive reagents is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature searches using scientific databases for assigned projects.
  • Design and optimize synthetic routes for target molecules and prepare project proposals.
  • Perform small and large-scale reactions in the lab to synthesize target compounds.
  • Purify compounds using crystallization, chromatography, and flash purification systems.
  • Interpret analytical data using IR, NMR, Mass Spectrometry, HPLC, and Elemental analysis.
  • Troubleshoot synthesis and purification challenges efficiently.
  • Prepare project reports and communicate progress with internal teams.
  • Follow Quality Management System (QMS) and lab safety guidelines.
  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in synthetic chemistry processes.
