Chemical Engineering Jobs at Zentiva- Basic & Minimum Qualification:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (Post Diploma in Safety preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years of working experience in the chemical industry

Chemical Engineering Jobs at Zentiva- Job Description and Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Process Safety Management System in line with Zentiva’s standards and guidelines.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze process safety hazards to minimize risks through plant inspections, surveys, HAC compliance, and safety studies.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports with recommendations for hazard control and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement safety measures and ensure compliance on the shop floor.
  • Identify and evaluate chemical, physical, and biological hazards associated with plant operations.
  • Conduct deviation analyses, HAZOP, and risk assessments for new products, processes, and modifications.
  • Determine process safety data requirements and perform studies with internal or external support.
  • Lead the identification and management of key safety elements and establish effective management programs.
  • Organize and conduct HSE meetings, training sessions, awareness campaigns, and mock drills.
  • Analyze process safety incidents and near-miss events to recommend preventive measures.
  • Assist in drafting and updating HSE-related SOPs, procedures, and forms.
  • Provide technical safety support for major capital projects, including design reviews and startup assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with updated legislations related to process safety.
  • Propose precautionary controls for explosion protection and other hazards.
  • Assist the HOD in compiling and reporting HSE data as per company and statutory requirements.

Senior Executive Role- Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of statutory HSE regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in chemical reactions, HAZOP, PHA, HIRA, JSA, and Hazardous Area Classification.
  • Strong communication, training, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
