IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) has announced a recruitment drive for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a pioneering research project.
Job Details
- Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- Project: “Manufacturing ‘Smart Fabric’ employing dual p-n junction solar cells”
- Supervisor: Prof. Anagh Bhaumik
- Duration: 12 months
- Remuneration: INR 37,000 per month (consolidated with no other allowances)
Qualifications & Skills
- Essential Qualification: A B.Tech/M.Tech/BSc./MSc. degree in Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related disciplines is required. The candidate should be GATE qualified if applicable. A minimum of 60% or equivalent in Graduation and above, and 55% or equivalent in 10th and 12th, is necessary.
- Preferred Skills: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in materials engineering with an interest in electronic materials for solar devices. Hands-on experience with thin film deposition (PLD, PECVD, Sputtering), characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, TEM), and data analysis software (LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Origin) is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
