CSIR – Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, Gujarat, is inviting applications for the post of Project Associate I under the Mission Mode Project on Specialty Chemicals for Industrial Applications. Candidates with M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Technology can apply via email before 23rd October 2025. Position: Project Associate I (01 Post)

Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry OR
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology
Desirable Experience:
- Hands-on experience in laboratory experiments or chemical analysis
- Knowledge of process design concepts (mass & energy balance, PFD, etc.)
Job Description:
- Design and execution of laboratory experiments
- Sample characterization, data collection, and interpretation
- Scale-up studies & process design (material & energy balance, PFD)
- Preliminary techno-economic assessment
Monthly Emoluments:
- ₹31,000 + HRA – for candidates with CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET (including lectureship/assistant professorship) or GATE, or who qualified national-level exams conducted by Central Govt. agencies (DBT/DST, etc.)
- ₹25,000 + HRA – for others who do not fall in the above category
Age Limit:
- Maximum 35 years as on the last date of application (23rd October 2025).
- Relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
Duration:
- Purely temporary position, co-terminus with the project.
- Maximum engagement across CSIR projects: 6 years.
- No claim for regularization/absorption in CSIR.
