Clarivate Hiring Chemistry Job Description
Clarivate is seeking a motivated Associate STEM Content Analyst to join the IP Content Editing team. This entry-level role focuses on delivering value-added scientific information for the Derwent World Patent Index (DWPI), a proprietary database designed to simplify the search and identification of polymers, compounds, compositions, and structures covered in patents.
Key Responsibilities
- Extract and curate novel scientific information from polymer patents.
- Index and code polymer-related information using DWPI codes in line with editorial policies.
- Capture details on monomers, catalysts, additives, chemical processes, physical operations, and polymer applications.
- Achieve volume deliverables with efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in the fields of polymer science and chemistry.
- Adapt to process changes while meeting deadlines and team goals.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Maintain accountability and support initiatives that promote customer satisfaction.
Educational Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Inorganic Chemistry (M.Sc.), OR MTech/BTech in Polymer Technology.
Experience and Skills
- Fresher or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with chemical drawing software (e.g., ISIS Draw).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
