Job Title: EHS Engineer
Location: IN Chennai
Eligibility Criteria:Â
Graduate in Chemical engineering AND/OR M.Tech ( Environmental Engg) from a reputed institute with 6-8 years in EHS.
- Knowledge on Environmental Statutory & Regulatory requirements
- ISO awareness – Integrated Management System
- Good communication skills
- Good at liaisoning with Government bodies
- Local Language Proficiency
Position Summary:
Provide active support to drive effective Environmental management system across site and inculcate safe, responsive culture among associates by implementing best in class systems to meet internal and external EHS requirements.
Job Description:
- Lead Sustainability Initiatives on-site and drive achieving Sustainability Goals.
- Assist in ensuring compliance to Environment (Air, Water & waste) as per regulations. Ensure effective operations of ETP & STP well within the prescribed limit of regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation, maintaining the records and forms of waste management which includes Hazardous waste management, Bio-medical waste, E-waste, Battery waste, and Non-Hazardous waste.
- Assist in implementing EHS Systems / Processes to support local & national regulatory compliance as well as MPM standards.
- Monitor Permit-to-work, High-Risk Activity & LOTO, Conduct plant safety inspections.
- Assist in compliance to PSM requirements.
- Actively drive HIRA-driven Exposure reduction on site.
- Coordinate the Occupational Health Center on-site
