Job Description
The Polymer Science & Engineering (PSE) division at CSIR-NCL invites online applications for the post of Project Associate-II for the project titled “Moisture Triggered Starch/Nano Cellulose Based Controlled Release System for the Delivery of Herbicides in Rainfed Ecosystems” sponsored by ANRF (Project Code: GAP343926). The engagement is purely temporary and will initially be for six months, extendable based on project requirements and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct polymer synthesis and design polymeric materials.
- Characterize synthesized polymers.
- Develop formulations, microencapsulation, and controlled release systems.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project milestones.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings.
Qualifications
Essential:

Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Organic Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/Polymer Engineering from a recognized university with 2 years’ experience in R&D in industrial/academic institutions or science and technology organizations
OR -
Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Engineering from a recognized university.
Desirable:
- Experience in synthesis and characterization of polymers.
- Experience in developing formulations or microencapsulation techniques.
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates).
