Job Description
As a Product Development Associate, you will work as an R&D Associate for Glow & Lovely, India’s largest skincare brand, focusing on end-to-end product design and development. You will collaborate with global and regional teams to design innovative products, develop formulations, conduct stability testing, and ensure compliance with internal protocols while delivering consumer-centric skincare solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand consumer habits and needs to develop product formulations.
- Deliver new product development briefs through experiments, prototyping, and lab testing.
- Design formulations aligned with insights, benchmarks, sensory, stability, efficacy, packaging interaction, and manufacturing scale-up.
- Plan and execute stability testing and analytical assessments in accordance with global protocols.
- Write formulation and process specifications, and support the roll-out of technology to sourcing units.
- Prepare product technology dockets, development reports, and raw material specifications.
- Collaborate with factories, suppliers, and global R&D teams.
- Monitor competitor product quality and make technical recommendations.
- Contribute to patents, publications, and value improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Unilever safety, environmental, and claims protocols.
- Work on raw material resilience initiatives.
Qualifications
- Post-graduate in Chemistry (preferably Pharmaceuticals/Chemical Engineering) with 2–4 years of skincare/personal care product development experience.
- Strong knowledge of formulation science, material science, consumer testing, and stability protocols.
- Tech-savvy with experience using digital tools and platforms.
- Familiarity with analytical methods and microbiology.
- Excellent spoken English, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Agile, proactive, and enthusiastic work style with design thinking and creativity.
