The CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, is inviting applications for the engagement of a Project Associate – I (PAT-I) temporarily in the Catalysis & Inorganic Chemistry Division (CAT). This recruitment is under the sponsored project titled “Research, Design, Development and Demonstration of Indigenous 5 kW AEM Water Electrolyser”

funded by CSIR (Project Code: MMP065202).

Educational Qualification (Essential):

• Master’s/ Integrated Master’s in Natural/ Agricultural/ Pharmaceutical Sciences, MVSc/ Animal Sciences, OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine from a recognized university OR equivalent.

Desirable Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s degree in General/Physical/Inorganic Chemistry.
• Hands-on experience in:

• • Synthesis and characterization of catalytic materials.

  • Electrochemical characterization of materials/devices using a potentiostat, EIS, etc.

  • Development, assembly, and testing of electrolyzers/fuel cells.

  • Mechanical engineering with knowledge of AutoCAD designing.

Job Requirement:

• Assist in AEM electrolyzer technology development, including:

  • Synthesis, scale-up, and characterization of catalyst materials.

  • Development of AEM cells/stacks.

  • Testing and scaling up of the electrolyzer.

  • Design support using AutoCAD.

Consolidated Emoluments:

₹31,000/- per month (for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET, including lectureship/assistant professorship, GATE, or equivalent National Level Exams).

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years.
