The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G), the first national pharma institute in Northeast India, is inviting applications for Project Scientist I (Non-medical) under the Centre of Excellence on Phytopharmaceuticals & Herbal Products. The project is funded by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, under the PRIP scheme, with a duration of 5 years.
Position Details:
- Post: Project Scientist I (Non-medical)

- Number of Posts: 01
- Fellowship: ₹56,000 + 20% HRA
- Age Limit: 35 years (as on 24 September 2025), relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Women candidates
Essential Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Analytical Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Analysis
- First-class post-graduation in M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry/Organic Chemistry) or M.Pharm./MS Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Analysis, Quality Assurance, Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry) with 60% marks
- At least one research publication in SCI-indexed journals
Desirable Experience:
- Expertise in natural product isolation and characterization (NMR, Mass Spectrometry, spectroscopic techniques)
- Research experience in reference standard development, plant metabolite analysis using HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, LC-QTOF
- Purification using preparative/flash chromatography
- Scale-up processes, AQbD for bioactive marker purification
- Stability assessment of bioactive extracts, AYUSH products, phytopharmaceuticals
- Exposure to bioanalysis and pharmacokinetics
