Job Description

IIT Guwahati is seeking motivated candidates for the roles of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Technical Assistant to work on a project related to sustainable water treatment technologies under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Chair Professor initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct experimental research in sustainable water treatment technologies
• Assist in plant design, prototype development, and patent-related activities
• Perform data collection, analysis, and documentation
• Provide technical support to the project team
• Prepare progress reports and presentations for project meetings

Qualifications

For JRF (GATE):

• B.Tech degree with a valid GATE score or M.Tech through national-level examinations conducted by central government departments/agencies/institutions
• Desirable: Experience in plant design and prototype development, with patents submitted/granted, and strong technical skills

For Technical Assistant:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant engineering/technology field
• Relevant laboratory/project experience preferred
