Job Description
The Personal Care R&D Scientist will be responsible for developing disruptive, preservative-free formulations for skincare, haircare, and body care products. This role is best suited for candidates passionate about natural, Ayurvedic, and eco-friendly product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, formulate, and optimize skincare, haircare, and body care products with food-like textures.
- Research and incorporate eco-friendly, natural, and Ayurvedic ingredients into formulations.
- Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing to ensure product quality and safety.
- Support claims substantiation and regulatory documentation.
- Lead pilot plant trials, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and optimize processes for scale-up.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Cosmetic Science, or Ayurveda.
- 2+ years’ experience in personal care research and development.
- Proven expertise in formulating natural or Ayurvedic personal care products.
- Knowledge of natural preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers, and surfactants.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
