Job Description
SRMIST is seeking applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow position in the Department of Chemistry. The role focuses on CO₂ capture, storage, and reduction in functionalized 2D and 3D materials using computational chemistry methods such as electronic structure calculations, ab initio molecular dynamics, and QM/MM simulations. The candidate will also work with shell scripting for workflow automation in high-performance computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced computational chemistry research in CO₂ capture and reduction.
- Apply electronic structure calculations, molecular dynamics, and QM/MM simulations.
- Automate workflows using shell scripting and high-performance computing systems.
- Publish high-quality research in international peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with research faculty and contribute to ongoing projects in computational materials science and biology.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science (essential).
- 0–2 years of relevant research experience.
- Strong background in Computational/Theoretical Chemistry, Computational Materials Science, or Computational Biology (desired).
- Proven record of publications in reputed international journals.
- Expertise in computational modeling, simulations, and high-performance computing.
