Role Description
The Executive N – QA role in Hyderabad ensures inspections and related activities are carried out as per the defined quality system. The primary objective is to release only conforming product batches promptly for packaging.
Daily Responsibilities
- Review the status of batches in pug mills, mixers, reactors, and TSDs from the previous shift.
- Maintain records of approved and pending batches, along with special instructions.
- Implement 5S activities in the QA lab and shop floor.
- Update ledgers and log books for batch parameters and test results.
- Calibrate instruments such as color computer and others.
- Inspect finished products and intermediates as per master file specifications.
- Analyze batch cards for deviations and future reference.
- Coordinate with production to address deviations and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with ISO documentation requirements.
- Maintain instruments like viscometer, penetrometer, gyroshaker, and color computer.
- Conduct daily shopfloor checks to ensure processes follow laid down procedures.
- Communicate with production on batch status, approvals, and issues.
Weekly / Monthly / Ad-hoc Activities
- Review plans from the Planning Department and check availability of test methods, master samples, and shade panels.
- Notify the Planning team in case of missing specifications and arrange for procurement.
- Analyze and respond to customer complaints within the defined timelines (48 hrs for product, 24 hrs for packing).
- Conduct process, packing, and batching audits.
- Ensure generation of master samples and standard shade panels before expiry dates.
- Test the first three batches of new designs and share results with the Technical Function.
- Provide data for monthly reports and assist in stability/exposure studies.
- Support analysis of deviant batches and escalate unresolved issues to the Technical Function (batches, specifications, new products, test methods, etc.).
Role Requirements
- Qualifications: Preferred B.Sc. Chemistry; Desirable M.Sc. Chemistry
- Experience: 1–3 years in Quality Assurance
