Key Responsibilities
● Develop, optimize, and validate cost-effective processes for APIs and intermediates (Lab to Plant scale).
● Develop, validate, and verify analytical methods (HPLC, Dissolution, Wet Chemistry) in line with regulatory guidelines.
● Lead analytical aspects of R&D projects, including preparation of protocols, reports, stability studies, and technical transfers.
● Provide analytical support to Regulatory Affairs for dossier submissions and deficiency responses.
● Collaborate with production teams for process troubleshooting and offer formulation support when required.
● Ensure all equipment is compliant with cGMP standards (operation, calibration, and qualification).
● Review and maintain R&D documentation such as laboratory notebooks, SOPs, change controls, and specifications.
● Train and mentor junior staff in analytical method development, validation, and GMP practices.
● Implement and uphold updated GMP practices, ensuring alignment with the company’s quality management system.
● Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.
Skills & Competencies
● Strong knowledge of analytical method development and validation (HPLC, Dissolution, Wet Chemistry).
● Understanding of API process development from lab to plant scale.
● Familiarity with cGMP, ICH, and regulatory guidelines.
● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
● Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
● Ability to guide and train junior team members.
