Role Overview:
The selected candidate will lead and execute in vivo pharmacology research projects focused on animal models of neuropathic pain, arthritis, and inflammation. The role requires technical expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time with high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the team is aligned.
- Contributing to the development of procedures, practices, and systems that ensure safe operations and compliance with the company’s integrity & quality standards
- Driving a corporate culture that promotes an EHS mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times.
- Ensuring the safety of self, teams, and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace.
- Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team, including oneself.
- Compliance with Syngene’s quality standards at all times
- Hold themselves and their teams accountable for the achievement of safety goals
- Govern and review safety metrics from time to time.
Eligibility & Experience:
- Education: Master’s in Pharmacology / M.V.Sc. Pharmacology.
- Experience: 3–6 years in in vivo pharmacology research.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in animal models of pain (neuropathic, chemically induced, and inflammatory) and arthritis.
- Proficiency in acute and chronic inflammation models (LPS, carrageenan, CFA, cotton pellet granuloma, etc.).
- Strong skills in animal handling, dosing, surgical techniques, and data analysis.
- Ability to independently design and execute experiments.
