Job Description
IISER Pune is hiring a Research Assistant-I for the project “Design Strategies and Effect of External Physical Fields on Transition Metal-Based Multifunctional Electrocatalysts for Green Energy Applications”
under the WIDUSHI program funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST). The selected candidate will assist in materials synthesis, electrochemistry experiments, and innovative research in catalytic energy/environmental applications.Key Responsibilities
- Carry out innovative chemical synthesis for catalytic energy and environmental applications.
- Work on transition metal-based multifunctional electrocatalysts.
- Learn and apply advanced electrochemistry techniques.
- Support project-related research and documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Essential: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or allied subjects with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience in material synthesis and knowledge/experience in electrochemistry.
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years as on the last date of application (relaxation applicable as per norms).
Tenure
Initially 1 year, extendable based on performance and project continuation (up to August 2030).
Salary
₹20,000/- + 27% HRA per month (Consolidated Emoluments).
