Job Description

AstraZeneca is hiring a Study Monitor Support Specialist to join our Regulatory Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology team in Bengaluru. This exciting opportunity is ideal for candidates passionate about non-clinical research operations and study execution. You’ll support internal and external study monitors in ensuring seamless coordination, documentation, and operational oversight for preclinical toxicology studies that accelerate the discovery of life-changing therapies.

New Pharmacology/Toxicology Job – Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and process-driven support to Non-Clinical Study Monitors.
  • Collaborate with external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) on study documentation.
  • Manage and update essential tracking documents and cost trackers.
  • Assist with study-related financials, including purchase orders, invoices, and amended SOWs.
  • Conduct QC checks on submission documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the continuous improvement of study monitoring workflows.
  • Contribute to data collation for internal metrics and reporting.

New Pharmacology/Toxicology Job – Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a related life science field.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in GLP-compliant toxicology labs or non-clinical research support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in global matrix teams.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
