Job Description
As a Laboratory Chemist, you will play a crucial role in conducting advanced chemical analyses and ensuring regulatory compliance for product safety. You’ll be working with sophisticated instruments to detect and quantify restricted substances across diverse sample matrices.
BSc/BTech Chemistry Job Opportunity – Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze samples using UV, LC-MS/MS, and GC-MS instrumentation.
- Conduct testing for:
- Formaldehyde
- Chromium
- APEO/Disperse Dyes
- PFCs and other restricted chemicals.
- Calibrate and maintain instruments: UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS.
- Prepare reagents and standards following SOPs and ISO 17025 protocols.
- Record accurate data and report findings using lab software and worksheets.
- Ensure quality and escalate deviations to the Analytical Laboratory Manager.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Technical Services Team to meet quality and turnaround time (TAT) expectations.
BSc/BTech Chemistry Job Opportunity – Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (mandatory).
- Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on lab experience with analytical instrumentation.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficient in using:
- UV-Vis Spectrophotometers
- LC-MS/MS
- GC-MS
- ICP-OES / ICP-MS
- Solid understanding of:
- Heavy metal testing
- Toy safety protocols
- Migration and residue analysis
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, SOPs, and best lab practices.
Regulatory & Soft Skills
