Job Purpose:
Develop, optimise, and execute the process for APIs to ensure on-time implementation within budget.
Key Accountabilities for Scientist
Develop API process in lab

Carry out literature survey and route selection for assigned project.

Prepare and execute development strategy for the assigned project.

Maintain record book of experiments, results from ADL.
-
Optimize process parameters for robustness and cost efficiency as Scientist.
-
Support new IP asset creation through experiments on new processes and polymorphs.
-
Maintain and calibrate lab instruments as per schedule.
-
Follow safety procedures (GLP) and green chemistry principles.
Prepare development report and MPG

Prepare tech transfer documents (MPG, solubility chart, development report) in coordination with ROC as Scientist.

Coordinate with manufacturing units for pilot, pre-validation, validation batches under supervision.
Conduct QbD and impurity studies
-
Perform QbD studies with the QbD team.

Conduct impurity profile, carryover studies, genotoxic impurity identification/synthesis/characterization as Scientist.
Support procurement and vendor qualification

Perform experiments for vendor qualification upon material receipt.

Compare trend data to shortlist vendors.
Ensure compliance with stage gate and milestones

Complete stage gate and milestone checklist activities on time.

Delays due to slow analytical results from ADL.

Rework due to poor quality raw materials as Scientist.
