Chemical Engg Job at Brenntag – Role Overview
As an Officer – SHE, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) regulations, standards, and best practices at our Mumbai site. You will assist in driving the company’s SHE culture, oversee audit processes, support training initiatives, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders for regulatory compliance.
Chemical Engg Job at Brenntag – Key Responsibilities
- Support QHSE managers in implementing Brenntag and local QHSE standards and programs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
- Assist in managing QSHE training programs to enhance awareness and operational competency.
- Monitor site-level safety targets and collaborate with departments to achieve them.
- Coordinate with government agencies on compliance and regulatory matters.
- Lead and support internal audits related to quality, environment, and safety.
- Manage risk assessments, hazardous substance control, and waste disposal.
- Oversee safety activities of contractors on plant and project sites.
- Support Asset Integrity Process Safety Management (AIPSM) through audits and performance improvement.
Chemical Engg Job at Brenntag – Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Health & Safety, or relevant field.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong people and analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant digital tools
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and safety procedures
- Audit handling and contractor safety experience is a plus
