Position Description

Position Title: Engineer Tech Transfer
Reporting to: Head Tech Transfer
LEVEL: E3-E4
Position Purpose
The Position will be responsible for providing basic data to HOD for the smooth functioning of the process development activity for new molecules for the fine-chemical business. This would include observing demos at R&D, scale-up studies, preparing basic engineering packages, and conducting trials at commercial scale & hand over to operations to ensure capacity, quality, and input/output norms are met.
Strategic Responsibilities
– Basic work for the document transfer schedule for new projects

– Preparation of SOP for commercial scale
Operational Responsibilities
– Preparation of BFD for commercial scale
– Preparation of PFD
– RM norms calculation
– Calculation of Utility estimation
Financial Responsibilities
– Provide data for BOM to HOD for commercial scale
– Contribute to budget proposals and controls
People Responsibilities
– Attend training programs for process engineers
– Provide process training to the operations team
– Coordinate with kilo/plant/R&D and QC
Education Qualification: Chemical/B. Tech Chemical/M. Tech
Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the chemical-based industry
Functional Competencies
– Preparation of BFD/PFD, Mass balance, Utility calculations
– Conducting trials in the kilo/pilot plant
– Demonstration of batches at commercial scale
