Job Summary:
The Executive – Pharmacovigilance will be responsible for managing end-to-end pharmacovigilance (PV) activities, including literature screening, case processing, documentation, and compliance with global safety regulations. This role requires high attention to detail, analytical skills, and strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure patient safety and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Track and review valid and invalid literature hits related to drug safety.
• Maintain weekly literature hit matrix and perform reconciliation.
• Screen, evaluate, and review literature articles for identification of valid/potential ICSRs (Individual Case Safety Reports).
• Procure full-text articles or translations as required.
• Book-in, triage, and enter ICSR data in safety databases, including:
o Duplicate check
o Data entry and medical coding
o Narrative writing
o Event labeling, report scheduling, and document attachments
• Manage the full workflow of ICSR case processing.
• Ensure compliance with global and local PV guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regulatory reports and maintain documentation related to drug safety.
• Maintain and update all relevant trackers involved in PV activities.
• Upload literature into the safety database/software.
• Review and check valid/invalid cases in PV software.
• Perform any other PV-related tasks as assigned by the manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• M.Pharm (Pharmacology) or Pharm.D is mandatory.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with global pharmacovigilance regulations and databases.
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
