The Medical Information Specialist (MIS) position is part of the ProPharma Medical Information Contact Center and follows all corresponding regulations, industry standards, and client/internal policies regarding medical information and the collection and documentation of adverse

events, special situation events, and product complaints.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions Include:

  • Responding to unsolicited consumer, healthcare professional, and other external customer requests for medical and safety information.
  • Accurately identifying, documenting, and reporting adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events, and product complaints.
  • Ensuring tasks are completed within specified deadlines.
  • Providing accurate responses utilizing approved labeling and company standard responses.
  • Maintaining quality in all areas of the job, including performing quality checks on various types of inquiries.
  • Adhering to company and country-specific privacy policies.
  • Providing after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • Life science degree OR Nursing degree OR Pharmacy degree (RN/BS/BA/MS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong cognitive abilities, including critical thinking and analytical ability
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office software platforms and Adobe Acrobat
