Job overview for Research Development Lead Role:
As a R&D Lead, one would need to undertake responsibility of ideating, developing & executing products which have capabilities to stand out but are also aligned
with market trend. Expertise across the entire skincare portfolio – skin, body & hair is a must. Awareness about the cosmetic industry from R&D partners, Suppliers to Manufacturers is expected. This role requires strong understanding, enthusiasm & keenness towards skincare.Location Preference: Chandivali, Mumbai
Responsibilities & Duties for Research Development:
- Handling end to end complete new product developments.
- Responsible for tech transfer from lab scale to commercial unit
- Interacting and coordinating with all international and domestic vendors for product development.
- Coordination with multiple teams for smooth launch as per timeline
- Overlook quality of launched products for Research Development.
- Troubleshoot & resolve product issues at manufacturing level
- Extend support to Quality Control Team to ensure quality of lab, vendors & manufacturers as Research Development
- Source: new ingredient suppliers, R&D partners & manufacturers
- Building & maintaining strong relationships with external vendors & partners
Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s in Cosmetologist or a Science related field (Chemistry, Pharmacy)
- 3+ years of experience preferred for Research Development.
- Leading team of 3-6 resources/ Strong leadership skills
- Understanding of Brand & capable of taking business oriented call
- Capability to make decisions under pressure
- Great social & communication skills
