Job Description:
The Chemical Sourcing Lead for Strategic Sourcing: This role involves leading the Chemical Sourcing & Procurement efforts for India & the APAC region. The responsibilities include strategic thinking, leadership, driving cost savings, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality chemicals, raw materials, and related services for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure Chemicals: Including raw materials and related services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: To ensure alignment with R&D, manufacturing, and quality departments.
- Provide technical guidance: On chemical selection and application.
- Ensure compliance: With regulations, industry standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage special projects: Such as supply chain optimization and process improvement initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure supplier quality and reliability: Oversee supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree: In chemical engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in chemical sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of chemicals, negotiation, communication, analytical skills, ERP systems proficiency, and experience with procurement software and data analytics tools.
Additional Information:
- Travel and Physical Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30%, have a valid driver’s license, and lift equipment up to 7kg. Previous experience in regulatory compliance, process improvement methodologies, international sourcing, or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
