NIPER-G M Pharma Job National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an autonomous institute of National importance and the first national pharma institute in NE India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an act of parliament, to impart high quality Education & Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Institute intents to fill the following Project position in NSM sponsored project through Online interviews.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Salary: 31,000/- plus 16% HRA
No. of Positions: 1 (one)
Project Title: National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) sponsored 3-
year project entitled “Exploiting the electron transfer parameters for the
prediction of selectivities in Cytochrome P450 catalyzed biotransformations of
industrial importance” (GAP-147)
Essential: Postgraduate degree (M.S./M.Pharm./M.Sc.) in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacoinformatics, or in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Equivalent with minimum
60 % marks from any reputed institute. GPAT/GATE/CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is essential for candidates with a master’s degree.
Desirable: Experience in molecular modeling chemoinformatics and drug design software
(proprietary/opensource), Amber, Gaussian 09/16, Openbabel, basic python/shell programming skills and exposure to GUI development. Good basic knowledge of
medicinal chemistry, drug metabolism, and
and troubleshooting.
Age: 28 years (Age relaxation will be provided as per GoI norms.)
Good oral, written, communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team of scholars as per project requirements.

Further, NIPER Guwahati also reserves the right NOT to fill any of the post advertised, in the event or exigency so decided.

10.CANVASSING IN ANY FORM MAY LEAD TO CANCELLATION OF THE CANDIDATE.
11. All appointments shall be on contract of one year or less if the project is terminated earlier. The appointments are against the temporary project positions and will not continue in any circumstances beyond the duration of the said project. Any subsequent contract in the project or another project will be fresh appointment. The appointment in the outside funded project does not give project staff any claim whatsoever for appointment/regularization against any Institute post.
12. Age will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e. 23.08.2023.
13. List of the Shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Institute website.
