Job Title: Executive – Technical Services – Lab
Location: Vadodara, Gujarat, India On-site
Eligibility Criteria– Ph.D. (Chemistry/Polymer Science) with minimum 60% score throughout academic
Experience – 3-5 years in rubber testing field
About the job
Responsible for performing testing activities for rubber and rubber compound samples received from RIL plant, customer, internal development, etc. Coordinating with equipment suppliers for equipment services and spare parts. Maintain various documents for ISO/NABL standards.
Job accountabilities:
- To perform the analytical testing with equipment like GPC, TGA, DSC, FTIR, Refractometer, Solution Viscometer, etc.
- To perform chemical tests like solvent extraction, ash content, volatile content, bound rubber, swell index, crosslink density, etc.
- Rubber and rubber compound testing as per assigned project
- Critical review of test results before submitting to manager
- Develop alternate test method to generate data for materials parameter testing
- Discussion with the technical service team for data interpretation.
- Coordination with external agencies like equipment vendor, service engineer for servicing/calibration of the equipment
- Develop and maintain documents for ISO/NABL standards
- Coordinate with external/internal labs for ILC test
Laboratory management related SKILLS & COMPETENCIES –
- Spare parts management, Equipment AMC, Calibration, verification, etc.
System-related- knowledge about ISO/NABL documentation, uncertainty measurement, etc. - Interlab Correlation (ILC)/Proficiency Testing (PT), etc.
