Job Description
The IIT Indore Research Associate role involves synthesizing and optimizing sodium layered oxide cathodes with the desired microstructure; developing and optimizing prototype Na-ion full cells (layered oxide cathode, commercial hard carbon anode); conducting structural and electrochemical characterization including GCD cycling, CV, EIS and operando XRD; preparing progress reports and publishing findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Synthesize and optimize sodium layered oxide cathodes with the desired microstructure.
- Develop and optimize prototype Na-ion full cells (layered oxide cathode, commercial hard carbon anode).
- Carry out structural and electrochemical characterization including GCD cycling, CV, EIS and operando XRD.
- Prepare progress reports and publish findings.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential qualification: PhD in Electrochemistry / Physics / Materials Science / Chemistry / Nanotechnology / Chemical Engineering or a closely related field, with demonstrated experience in cathode materials for Na-ion batteries.
- Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible.
- Age limit: maximum 32 years.
Required Skills
Desirable:
- Layered oxide synthesis and electrochemical characterization.
- Pouch-type Na-ion full-cell assembly and testing.
Good publication record in Li/Na-ion batteries preferred.
Salary
Fellowship: Rs 58,000 per month + HRA (if applicable)
